Quock – Privacy Policy

Last updated: Aug 7, 2025

No ads No tracking No data collection On-device

Quick Summary

Who we are

This policy covers the iOS app Quock (“the App”, “we”, “our”).

Data we collect

None. Quock does not create an account, does not ask for personal information, and does not send any information to our servers (we don’t have any).

On-device settings

The App may store preferences such as theme (light/dark). These values remain on your device and can be removed by deleting the App.

Widget behavior

The Quock widget uses Apple’s WidgetKit to display quotes by time. Content is generated on-device from files included in the app bundle. The widget does not perform network requests or tracking.

External links

Some quotes include a “Read more” link that opens a third-party website in your browser. Visiting those sites is optional and subject to the respective site’s privacy policy. We do not receive any data from those sites.

Diagnostics & crash reports

We do not embed analytics. If you have opted in at the iOS system level to share diagnostics with developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash logs. These do not contain personal information and are used solely to improve stability.

Children’s privacy

Quock is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, there is nothing to delete; removing the app clears on-device settings.

Your rights

Since we do not process personal data, rights under GDPR/CCPA (access, deletion, etc.) generally do not apply. If you have questions, contact us at Github.

We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.

Security

Quock processes data locally on your device and relies on Apple’s platform security. We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode/biometrics.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. Material changes will be updated on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
